JoMail is an intelligent, fully functional email agent, capable of sending and receiving electronic messages from all email providers.  This includes POP3 servers, SMTP, and web-based email accounts such as hotmail, yahoo mail, excite mail, aol mail, etc.  

The current version is gamma functionality.  This means that many features are not ready, and many bugs go unfixed....   The current version is only well tested on PCs.  

There is no spell check, and it runs slower than the full version.  There are also some service options that are not available.  However, this version is available for free download for a limited time, and it does download your email to your local hard drive, in the background.  

The gamma version requires the Java Virtual Machine to run.    If you don't have the Jave Runtime Environement (JRE), you can get it from Sun Microsystems (See java.sun.com for more information), free of charge, or download the version of JoMail which includes the JRE, from the previous page.
